Jamaica Villa: Convenient and Independent
Not many people are aware that the Jamaica Villa is more prevalent than any other Caribbean island's villa. These Jamaica villas offer fantastic amenities for its visitors. Often you can reserve villas with private pools (I have stayed in a villa in Jamaica with our own private beach). You can even get your own private staff to see to it that you are pampered and well taken care of. If you are traveling with young children and you are interested in spending some time alone, no problem your staff may include your own personal nanny as well.
Renting a villa is a bit different from renting a room in a resort. Usually rates are offered per week. For instance you can currently find villa rentals from $900 to more than $1500 per week which includes a staff, private pool and sometimes a rental car to get around town.
Keep in mind that because of its private nature you may not be able to interact with many of the locals this way. You will also have to have a rental car and a good map because there will be no tour bus to pick you up to tour the island. In addition, though you will have a fine cook cooking you some real tasty Jamaican food (offered in some villas), it will not be as nicely presented as in a five star resort. After all it is home cooked...as far as I am concerned the taste is more important than a five star presentation. If you are looking for a relaxing and private vacation, some time to finish a good book, eat well, and be pampered - this type of accommodation should suite you just fine.
When you plan on booking your villa make sure you have a good understanding of what your villas offers. Unlike hotels or resorts, not all Jamaica villas have air conditioning nor do they all sit on a beach.
At the end of your stay be sure to show your appreciation with a 10 to 15 percent gratuity in addition to your grocery bill. The staff would have worked hard to make sure you lacked nothing.
If you plan diligently, you will make the right choice.
