The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel

The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel is a Kingston landmark. Though I have been to the hotel many times it is special to me as that is where my wife and I stayed as a married couple on our first night married. This was 13 years ago and the hotel still maintains its elegance.

Pegasus is a great hotel for business people visiting the capital. Located in the heart of New Kingston - the business and financial district - across the street from Emancipation Park this hotel also has a great reputation for leisure stay. Pegasus stands about 17 stories tall and has some truly breathtaking views of the city and mountains.

Only 20 minutes from the International Airport, Jamaica Pegasus is a premier business destination as people traveling on business will enjoy function rooms, meal packages, restaurant (24 Seven Cafe), and anything else needed for hassle free accommodations on your business trip.

This hotel should not be mistaken for any of the resorts listed on this website. It is not all-inclusive. However,it does offer some amenities which are included in the nightly rate.

For the fitness focused traveler there is a fitness center, tennis courts, and a 1/4 mile winding jogging trail which runs through the hotel garden.

Now, have no fear, your children can have a good time at the hotel as well as they can be entertained at the pool during their very own kiddie pool party.

Though each room sleeps about four people you will need to pay extra for the third and fourth guest unless one of them is twelve years or younger - they will sleep free. One great feature of the rooms at this hotel is that all 300 rooms - though there are five different room styles - come with a balcony.

So, if you are traveling for business, plan to stay at the Jamaica Pegasus. If leisure travel to Kingston, this hotel will also be a good place to stay.
